RSPCA animal centre 'full to bursting' E-mail
A South Yorkshire RSPCA animal rescue centre has claimed it is currently "full to bursting", while it receives 20 enquiries a day about adding dogs to the waiting list.

The Bawtry-based centre has therefore launched an appeal for responsible people considering adopting a pet to come forward.

Animal car manager Alison Pring told the Star: "Our animals are cute and we'd love people to come forward to give them a home."

She estimated that the centre is currently home to around 50 dogs, 25 cats, 20 guinea pigs and a number of gerbils, rats and chinchillas.

Meanwhile, animal charity the Blue Cross recently warned would-be pet owners that they should purchase pet insurance when adopting a cat or a dog.

The charity's director of veterinary service Christian Bamber told Sky News that having pet insurance is the difference between life or death for an animal in an emergency case.
