 The Blue Cross in Devon has urged pet owners to ensure their cats and dogs are a part of the fun of Christmas this year by buying them a present.Speaking to the Mid Devon Star, Claire Stallard of the charity said: "Include your pet in the fun by treating them to a new toy, or make time to play their favourite game." Pet owners have been reminded that they do not have to break the bank doing so, rather homemade toys or games should do the trick. The animal charity also warned pet owners of the dangers involved with allowing cats and dogs to play with the likes of Christmas decorations in case they swallow something harmful. Meanwhile, animal homes all around the country have appealed for locals concerned about the welfare of abandoned pets to donate bedding and toys to brighten up their lonely Christmas this year.
