Lauren Bage Donates to World Wildlife Foundation

Here at Animal Friends we employ a system whereby the managers from our range of departments come together to decide who has been employee of the month. That person then gets £3,000 to donate to an animal welfare charity of their choosing.

wwf.gifWe are delighted to announce that our employee of the month for September was Lauren Bage from our Customer Services team. Lauren has excelled herself in her role as the first point of contact for our customers on the phones. Whilst doing this she has also taken on the role of ensuring that all of our new business customers are receiving their documents for the policy they have taken out with us. In addition, Lauren has been mentoring and tutoring Jodie, a newer member of Customer Services team, so that she can go live on the phones.

To continue to maintain all of these roles, Lauren has worked extra hours beyond the norm and has clearly demonstrated her dedication to us as a company; both Lauren’s manager and peers have praised her excellent work ethic and positive attitude alike and she is a real credit to Animal Friends.

Lauren has decided to donate her £3,000 to the World Wildlife Foundation and we couldn’t be happier. WWF is one of the largest and most influential organisations in the world of animal welfare and it has continued to maintain an excellent standard of helping animals worldwide. They are the leading body in conservation of both animals and the environment and are all too aware of how wildlife, human activity and the environment are all inter-linked. This why they run educative programmes and conservative projects as well taking environmental action, such as tackling climate change. The WWF has highly-skilled teams of professionals working at the heart of dealing with conservation throughout the world, many of these professionals work in government, businesses and communities.

Lauren made this statement on why she chose to donate to WWF:

“For my 21st my mum adopted 3 Amur leopards for me so I am familiar with this charity and the work they do. I have spoken with them and they are happy to accept my donation. It has been agreed that the money will be distributed where needed as certain areas such as the marine turtles don’t receive as many donations.”

We here at Animal Friends are extremely pleased that Lauren has decided to donate her £3,000 to such an excellent and far-reaching charity and hope that the donation will help with conserving animals that are often overlooked. With this recent donation of £3,000 we have now donated £542,000 to animal welfare charities worldwide and we aim to reach the £1million milestone by the end of 2012.
