Anthony Cannings donates to the Animals' Refuge

At Animal Friends we employ a system whereby each manger of a department (Sales, Customer Service and Claims) is able to submit a member of their team as ‘Employee of the Month’. This person is then awarded £1,000 to be donated to an animal welfare charity of their choosing.

Continuing with our employee of the month updates, we are pleased to inform you that our winner from our Customer Services Department for June 2011 was Anthony Cannings. Anthony has gone above and beyond his role in helping our customers with their questions and queries and often stays to work extra hours. He always maintains a high level of customer service listening attentively to needs and he consistently produces the outcome that our clients desire.  Anthony frequently goes about his work with passion and enthusiasm and is a great asset for Animal Friends.

The charity that Anthony has decided to donate his £1,000 to is The Animals’ Refuge based in Carlisle. This charity provides a home to a varying amount of animals including horses, donkeys, sheep, cattle and goats in addition to acting as a temporary haven for cats, dogs and other small animals that are waiting to be homed through adoption. In 2009 alone the refuge managed to find a loving home for nearly 600 animals and a further 302 lost dogs and cats were reunited with their owners thanks to this wonderful scheme.

All of us here at Animal Friends are thrilled that Anthony chose this charity and hope that the donation made by us will aid them further as they continue to keep doing great work.
