Carla Packwood Donates to Captive Animals' Protective Society
Here at Animal Friends we employ a system whereby the managers from our range of departments come together to decide who has been employee of the month. That person then gets £3,000 to donate to an animal welfare charity of their choosing.
We are delighted to announce that our employee of the month for December 2011 was Carla Packwood, our Management Information Supervisor. Carla has been an integral part in implementing the changes in our recently changed rating table whilst also exceeding all expectations with both the volume and the quality demonstrated by her on tasks she has been set. Carla has shown great commitment and dedication to Animal Friends displaying a high level of professionalism and always going out of her way to help other departments in the company.

Carla has decided that CAPS (Captive Animals’ Protective Society) will be receiving her £3000 donation as she has been following them for a while now and really appreciates all of the great work they do. CAPS is a UK-based charity that campaigns to end the use of animals in entertainment. Through a combination of undercover investigations, research, campaigns, political lobbying and education, CAPS aims to stop the exploitation of animals in entertainment, particularly in circuses, zoos and the exotic pet trade.
We here at Animal Friends are big supporters of CAPS and so when we heard that Carla had decided to choose them for her £3000 donation we were over-the-moon. It is excellent to see that our staff, whilst working in the pet insurance sector, really do care about the welfare of all animals from around the globe and it goes to support our ethos that we whole-hearted believe in.
