Mariah Carey has revealed that her pet dog has just had a puppy, though she missed the much-anticipated birth as she was in London at the time.

The singer's schedule meant that she had to fly over to the UK for a series of personal appearances, despite the fact that her dog had just gone into labour.

However, she more than made up for her absence by ensuring that she enjoyed the best possible pet healthcare, with a specialist vet flown across from LA to New York to help with the birth.

"My puppy just had a puppy," Carey confirmed to Showbiz Spy.

"She's the most adorable Jack Russell terrier. We were worried because she was little, so she had to have a C-section and I missed the whole thing!"

Meanwhile, the star has also revealed that she would like to collaborate with Westlife once again, with the two acts having enjoyed a number one success with their cover of Against All Odds back in 2000.
