Titan may be the world's tallest dog, but he relies on specialised pet healthcare to survive. Guinness World Records awarded the Great Dane the title in Los Angeles this week and in the subsequent interview his owner revealed the medical attentions Titan needs to be well. Diana Taylor said the pooch requires acupuncture and chiropractic sessions to help ease his problems. Titan is blind, deaf and epileptic and Ms Taylor communicates with him through touch. He weights 1990 pounds, is more than three-and-a-half feet tall from foot to shoulder and according to his owners is frequently mistaken for a horse or a cow. The pooch was adopted as a puppy in Tennessee and already had seeing and hearing problems when he was found. A North Dakota dog named Boomer had been in the running and the Associated Press reported the owner of the three-foot-tall Newfoundland was disappointed to have lost.
