 Those in the process of buying dog insurance might be pleased to hear about a new facility in Canterbury aimed at helping canines in the area.Some 14 kennels have been unveiled at Dogs Trust Canterbury and it is hoped that these will help to re-home almost 180 pooches annually. In addition, a training barn has been built, which the animals at the facility can use to get ready for their new abodes. Re-homing centre manager Lizzie Reffell said to see the dogs in such lovely new facilities was "heartwarming" - and visitors will be able to meet the "fabulous" pooches being taken care of there. "We look forward to finding homes for lots more dogs in the area," she added. The total number of kennels at the site is now 32. Earlier this week, Dogs Trust announced winners of the Fido Awards, which the organisation is associated with. Champs included Hollywood movie Marley & Me, which won the Rom-Com Rover prize.
