A heartbroken dog owner in Cambridgeshire has praised the support of pet insurance customers and animal lovers alike as she seeks to discover the whereabouts of her missing pet pooch.Carolynn Anderson is growing more and more concerned about her eight-year-old black Labrador, who she said is "not the type of dog to run off", the Newmarket Journal reports. The desperate owner fears the animal may have fallen into the water at Kirtling Weir, where he went missing, but has no way of knowing whether his body may be trapped under the water. A two-hour search by the fire brigade and members of the local community proved fruitless and Ms Anderson is now offering a reward for anyone who helps find her beloved companion. "There were 20 volunteers out looking for him on Tuesday and it is amazing how kind people have been," she said. "I just have to keep hoping." The appeal comes after one family in Slough offered a £500 reward for the safe return of their beloved pet parrot Boyzee after the animal escaped from his home while they were away on holiday, the Slough Observer reports.
