Animal Rescue Cumbria (ARC) takes in cats and dogs and finds them, wherever possible, suitable new homes. Animals come to the rescue centre for all sorts of reasons, some of them have been abandoned, some of them are found as strays, whilst others are brought in by owners who are moving and are no longer able to care for them.

ARC is staffed by a small team of professional carers who in turn are supported by equally dedicated volunteers. The cats and dogs are well looked after at the charity’s catteries and kennels and are put on an in-depth health care programme that includes vaccinations, neutering, microchipping, flea treatment and worm treatment.

We have helped ARC by donating £3,000 to help with their heavy running costs.
