“Thanks to all the support received for Limbe – the in-house appeals we’ve done, Rachel Hunter, Co-op Bank, Animal Friends Pet Insurance and the Kinnerton Chocolate company – work has now begun on a new home for rescued chimpanzees in Cameroon”.

Animal Friends is delighted to work with the Born Free Foundation and we have supplied the funding for a safe enclosure to be erected to protect the orphaned chimps in the Cameroon. At present, Born Free have rescued around 40 rescued chimpanzees. This new facility will have a large outdoor area (funded by Animal Friends) and an indoor area and will allow Limbe to keep their doors open and take in more orphaned chimps and give them the care they need.
