Animal Friends isn’t just about fantastic pet insurance; we also donate a large amount of our profits to registered charities all over the world. You see, we’re not just offering brilliant cover for your pets; we’re also dedicated to helping out worthy animal welfare charities around the world.

To promote our love of animal welfare, we’ve set ourselves a challenge; to donate £1 million to charity by the end of 2012. To help us reach this goal, we have a number of different ways to help charities that require our donations. You can make a start by giving us a Like on Facebook; we donate £1 for each Like, which is a brilliant start to your Feel Good journey with us!

First, we’ve launched a charity application on our Facebook page. Every month we have a brand new set of four charities to vote for – you get one vote per month, and the charities are all in the running for the top prize of a £5,000 donation! Secondly, we accept grant applications from charities in need. We can only respond to a limited number of these, but all are considered and we will try to choose those charities that really require our help. Through this scheme we’ve helped many charities in need of some emergency funding; if you are the proprietor of a charity in need, you can get in touch with us for a grant application form through our contact form on the website here, or by emailing us at marketing@animalfriends.co.uk.

Finally, our company has an employee of the month scheme to reward those employees that have performed outstandingly over the period of a month. With this reward, the employee can nominate a charity to receive a donation of £3,000, which not only means a great amount to be given to worthwhile charities, but through this scheme we also end up donating to a broader range of charities.

As part of our pledge to support animal welfare charities worldwide we run a ‘Charity of the Month’ competition on our Feel Good Park facebook page. Every month we pick 4 brilliant charities that will be in with a chance of winning a £5,000 donation from us! Each charity is picked for its great efforts in animal welfare and so we here at Animal Friends make sure that they all receive some form of donation; with first place receiving £5,000, second place receiving £2,000 and third and fourth place each receiving £1,500.

Animal Friends are always looking for ways to reach our £1million goal; the ‘Charity of the Month’ competition ensures that at least £10,000 is donated to animal welfare charities every month helping us to reach our goal.

We are constantly looking for new charities to be involved with this monthly competition; all we ask is that they are a UK registered charity and have a facebook page. If you would like to put forward a charity for consideration then please email marketing@animalfriends.co.uk with the charity’s name, contact and URL.
