JBF (Scotland) and JBF (India) have been working together to help relieve the suffering of many of Delhi's cows and buffalo. There are around 30,000 cattle in the city of Delhi, many of them stray or abandoned or owned by people too poor to afford private vet care. The animals are suffering from many different illnesses and injuries - JBF are trying to help as many as possible to have a more bearable life.

Veterinary care is therefore vital to assist JBF (Scotland) in caring for these creatures. Animal Friends has therefore agreed an ongoing commitment to pay the monthly wages of a vet specifically to help care for these cattle.
