The Dorset Wildlife Trust and Animal Friends Pet Insurance

The Dorset Wildlife Trust is working to rebuild the diversity of the county’s wildlife. They deliver conservation gains through their network of nature reserves and wildlife sites and help to protect threatened wildlife habitats and species.

They also seek to influence others who affect the wildlife of Dorset (landowners, farmers, local authorities, developers & businesses) and promote a better understanding and appreciation of wildlife by engaging people of all ages and backgrounds.

At Animal Friends we wanted to do something to assist our local wildlife Trust so we contributed funds to assist with DWT’s Rivers & Wetlands project one aspect of which is encouraging the spread of the lovely otter.

See what your local Wildlife Trust is doing for your immediate environment and its wildlife – you may even want to give some “hands on” help with one of the many projects volunteers can assist with.
