Their plea was answered and they ended up with more homes than chickens. The only problem that they had was obtaining suitable transport to get the chickens out of the farm within the few days they had access. Animal Friends came to the rescue and paid for the transportation to take chickens from the farm to their new homes. |
We received an email asking if we could help this animal welfare group. They had been given permission to go into a chicken farm over a period of a few days and re-home the chickens as they were no longer laying. If they were not rescued then they would be destroyed.
