Haworth Cat Rescue is an independent charity based in North/West Yorkshire and East Lancashire that runs a rehoming and adoption service for unwanted and stray cats and kittens. Their aims are to relieve the suffering of cats that are in need of care and attention and to provide rescue homes for the care of such unwanted animals. They have been going since 1992, acquiring charity status in 1997. Since then the charity has helped abandoned or unwanted cats to find loving ‘forever homes’ whilst trying to promote their message of animal welfare through education. They also have a no-kill policy believing that there is a home for every type of cat.
Animal Friends is happy to support Haworth Cat Rescue and we wish them all the best in this month’s Charity of the Month.
Whilst the winner of our Facebook ‘Charity of the Month’ competition will receive a £5,000 donation from Animal Friends, the other 3 charities will also receive donations; with second place receiving a donation of £2,000 and third and fourth both receiving £1,500.
