Ethical insurance shoppers urged to help the RSPCA this Christmas E-mail
Pet health insurance customers' pets may benefit from their kindness, but maybe these animal lovers want to extend their generosity to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) this Christmas.

All UK centres are requesting support to help feed and care for the animals.

Launching their Big Christmas Feed appeal, they called attention to the appalling abuse many of the dogs, cats and rabbits they have received over the past year.

Many others have been several left to their own devices or - with the recession making pet healthcare an unaffordable expense for those without ethical insurance - just left on the street.

The charity said: "Our RSPCA centres have had a tough year and this Christmas, we're stretched to the limit. We're looking after starved and neglected dogs, tiny kittens that have been callously abandoned and puppies dumped in bin bags."

Another way to help ease these welfare organisations' burden is to volunteer.

One such helper with the Blue Cross recently told the Oxford Mail it was the "best hobby" she had ever had because it was so rewarding.

Animal Friends Pet Insurance are specialist pet insurers who have been insuring Dogs and Cats in the UK since 1999, we are your first choice for Ethical Insurance.
