Is Buying Pet Insurance Really Worth It?

If your pet dog or cat needs veterinary treatment for any one of a number of common diseases or is inflicted by a life threatening illness, the cost of treatment could run into many thousands of pounds. UK Veterinary care is expensive! Pet insurance is there to protect you from such disasters and also provide a lifeline to your pet as you may not necessarily be able to afford the best treatment at the time.

insure your puppy with afiIf you want to own a puppy then the most important thing you should keep in mind is taking proper care of it. There are certain things about which you have to train your pets so that any chances of accidents and other problems can be avoided.

The most important thing about which you should train your puppy is about how he/she should relieve themselves. Toilet training for dogs should start as soon as they are brought home. You have to be well prepared, observant and patient as training does not happen overnight.

Puppies should be accompanied outside for around 20 minutes to toilet, at the following times:

  • Before going to bed at night
  • After waking up
  • After a nap during the day time
  • After eating
  • After playing or other excitement such as meeting new visitors
  • While returning home from an outing
  • Many people take puppies outside for a walk only to see that their puppies relieve themselves as soon as they get back inside. To avoid such a situation, you should walk with the puppies to the toilet area. You should stand still and allow the puppy to lose interest in you. Always praise them after they relieve themselves and avoiding rubbing their nose in mistakes.
