Lost Dog - Urgent plea for help – Oct 2008
Inra, a dog treated cruelly, has now developed a fear of people and since he has gone missing, it is feared that he may be on the brink of death because of starvation.
Inra has no natural knowledge of fending for himself and hence has no means to acquire food, adding to it is his fear of humans which makes him run away when people approach him with food.
He was once adopted by a home on the edge of Derby, however, his new owner managed to lose him within just four days near Spondon and Ockbrook.
He has also been seen near the fields and lanes of East Derbyshire looking like a poor lost soul with skin sticking to his bones who darts away at the sight of a human.
Although an extensive campaign through posters and leaflets resulted in jammed lines to the RSPCA, the dog still remains missing.
An RSPCA spokesperson confirmed that Inra’s route has been first east to Ockbrook and Risley, following which he wandered off north to Stanton-by-Dale, west towards Dale Abbey, back north towards Shipley Park and Stanley Common, turning southwards towards Smalley Crossroads and Morely Hayes finally heading west to Coxbench, Horsely, Woodhouse and Holbrok.
Inra is a medium sized black Labrador-Collie cross, has a greying muzzle and has very distinct ears, one drooping down. He will not respond to his name and will vanish in fear if approached. It can be said with certainty that at the moment Inra will be in the countryside between Belper, Heanor, Ilkeston and Derby, starved and dying. If you see him, please call the Derby RSPCA Volunteers on 07758 709337, 07808 931289 or 07884 437396. |
