Family pet cat attacked by street dogs - A family in Chester has been left heart broken after their pet cat was mauled to death by dogs on the street. It was Saturday around 6 a.m. when Amanda Owen and her partner Michael Nash heard dog fighting and a cat’s crying voice.  Cat insurance is often called on to pay for such incidents in the UK.

 

Michael Owen who worked as a team leader in CES UK went outside the family home to call in their two pet cats. One year old Monty returned home but Michael and Amanda were unaware that five year old Honey had been killed in the attack in the alleyway.

 

About 7.45 a.m. that morning, Michael went to take his Labradors Jake and Simber for their morning walk and was shocked that their other cat still did not return home.

 

 Michael said that he had a bad feeling. He does not normally look down to the alley’s entry but he did and noticed it was a bit messy. Michael took his dog back and woke up Mandy. Amanda who works in kitchen of Royal Mail Sorting office on Jupiter Drive said that she grabbed a blanket and ran across the street but she did not want to have a look at Honey because she was so mangled.

 

Amanda was upset for many days. They are now even scared about the safety of Monty, so they keep her inside the house at night.  The couple reported the incident to the police.
