Animal Friends Pet Insurance WARNING TO CAT OWNERS HELLESDON.

Animal Friends Cat Insurance

Situated to the north-west of Norwich you will find Hellesdon. A beautiful and historic sub urban area.

Sadly this news article is not to tell you that Hellesdon is well known for its early settlement during the flint age thought to date back at least 4,000 years, but for a far more macarb reason.

Many cats are being injured in the north of Hellesdon. They are being shot at by someone with an air rifle. Pet owners are confused and are getting together to try to find the culprit. In the last four months, there have been at least four incidents in which cats were the victim of air rifle shots and suffered serious injuries. These incidents have taken place in Hellesdon area. There might be many other such incidents which may have gone unreported.      Recently, a 14 year old ginger colour cat named Rosie was found injured. A shattered bullet was found in her back leg. The owner, Wendy Curson, is very concerned about her cat Rosie and has spent hundreds of pounds on her treatment. The cat was found in a serious state and was immediately taken to the vet for treatment.

Last month Mrs Curson found her cat suffering near her residence on Prince Andrews Road. At that time, she did not report this incident to the police. However, she later reported it to the police after hearing of similar incidents and is advising others to follow suit. She was unaware of so many cats being hurt these days. She finds these incidents very sad and is deeply hurt by them. She feels sorry for all the victim cats and hopes the culprits will be put behind bars soon
