Cat SHOT WITH AIR RIFLE IN OLD BOLINGBROKE - CRUEL BEHAVIOUR BY CALlOUS PERSON - DID YOU SEE ANYTHING?
A cat was shot down in Old Bolingbroke by an air rifle attack. This incident occurred on Sunday, 7th September 2008. The cat was severely injured. The attack broke the cat's back and consequently the cat was paralysed. The wounded cat was found by the owner. The cat fainted as the bullet of the gun penetrated the cat’s spine. PCSO Jayne Richard, from the local neighbourhood policing team is trying his best to put the culprit responsible behind bars. She confirmed that shooting a domestic pet is a severe crime and the person responsible will be given strict punishment. This incident was dangerous and the cat suffered a lot. The pet owner was deeply hurt seeing his beloved cat in a painful condition. The owner wants the shooter to be caught soon and hopes that he would be severely punished. There is an appeal from the cat’s owners to the public, to contact them if they have any information or evidence which will help them to solve this case. They also want such incidents to be reported to the police. The owners hope that their cat is the last one to suffer and do not want any other pets to suffer such terrible incidents.
