Born Free Foundation - Animal Friends Support |
We are pleased to say that, during July, we donated a further £6,000 to the Born Free Foundation to help them with their vital work. Earlier in the year we donated a substantial sum to provide fencing for their exciting project in Cameroon where they have set up a huge sanctuary to take the baby gorillas and chimpanzees orphaned by the bushmeat trade. This project has been given celebrity support by Rachel Hunter, actress and famous ex-wife of Rod Stewart.

Do you want to bring home a puppy? |
We all want to bring home a cute little puppy. my favourite is a labrador puppy, then oddly enough the french bulldog looks cool too.Think hard about it before you start looking for a pet dog. Discuss it with the whole family. Ask if all agree to bring home a puppy. Even if one of the family members is against the idea, bringing home a pet would create a lot of stress and resentment. The implications could be substantial. |

Dogs health not breed important |
We don't all worry about the dogs breed when we go out and buy a new dog; or do we?Mongrels, mutts, crossbreeds and mixed-breeds make up half the dog population on earth. They are as loyal, affectionate, gentle, beautiful and protective, as their purebred relatives are. All dogs are unique and whether they are purebred or mixed breed should not be a criteria for a prospective dog owner. A purebred will confirm to particular breed standards, but will not guarantee anything except the lineage. |
