Expert gives advice on pet dog toilet training

A pet dog who cannot seem to stop urinating on her owner's bed is the subject of a recent advice column.
People Pets' expert Ethel told a reader that in order to discourage this bad habit, she first needs to keep the canine out of the bedroom as much as possible.
If the pooch is still "peeing out of place", then it needs to be trained in a small area, such as a room penned off by a child gate.
"Keep her in [there] as you try to train her again to her roam freely when she's alone - on the condition, of course, that she keeps her pottying to a designated spot," Ethel advised.
The expert regularly answers pet health care queries from readers and recently helped an owner who had lost one of her two dogs in a car accident.
Remaining pooch Malcolm was finding it hard to cope, so Ethel recommended more play, long walks and fun activities where he can be showered with praise.
