Kitten trapped in engine

Ethical insurance customers might have heard car engines described as making a purring sound - but for one Perth motorist, it may have been a little bit more literal.
Scottish councillor John Kellas said his wife had mentioned hearing miaowing sounds coming from his vehicle but he had thought nothing of it, until he began to hear a noise as he drove along.
Stopping the car, he took it to Farmer Avenue mechanics to ask them to investigate.
At first the men mocked him for his suspicions - until they found the tiny grey and white kitten trapped between the engine and the wheel arch.
Miraculously unhurt, the moggy has been named Farmer and is now in the pet health care of Mr Kellas's personal assistant.
"The chaps did a great job and probably lost work to save the kitten," the councillor added of the mechanics that helped to retrieve the cat.
This is one of the more unusual animal rescues in recent weeks, although the Scottish SPCA did save two puppies from a backpack left on a train.
