Pooch and pup searching for new home

A Croydon pet health care agency is searching for a home for a three-legged mutt and her son.
According to the Croydon Advertiser, Penny was discovered in an Irish garden giving birth to a litter of puppies, only one of whom survived.
In order to have Tuppence, Penny is believed to have crawled back home after getting her leg caught in a snare but her owners did not avail themselves of veterinary treatment, leaving the pooch's leg so gangrenous, vets had no choice but to amputate it.
Now the Furry Friends animal rescue centre, which is caring for the double act, is seeking a new family for the red and white border collie.
Elsewhere, a four-month-old puppy has been abandoned in Perth and is now in the care of the Scottish SPCA, which is searching for information about the case.
The bitch was tied to a lamppost with food and treats nearby.
