Pet dogs and cats were just a few of the animals one famous guitarist owned while growing up in Australia.
Speaking to PeoplePets.com, Orianthi - who has shared a stage with Michael Jackson and Steve Vai, among others - said she loves all creatures and has also taken care of fish, mice, doves and pigeons in her 25 years.
Since moving to Los Angeles in 2006, she has missed her family, as well as her other furry friends.
But at the moment, Orianthi owns some ducks - seven, to be precise.
"There's Piddles, Tootsie, Broken - he's called broken because he was born with a broken wing - and White Duck, I haven't really named him, we call him Whitey," she added.
The musician, whose name is yet to become a household one in the UK, despite her success abroad, also appeared on stage with Carrie Underwood at last year's Grammy Awards.
In addition, she was booked to be the guitarist for Michael Jackson's O2 Arena dates - although due to his untimely death, these were cancelled.
Animal Friends Insurance, one of the largest independent pet insurers in the UK offer dog insurance, cat insurance and horse insurance to UK residents.
