Ashley and Cheryl Cole 'fighting over pet dogs'

Ashley and Cheryl Cole could be heading for a custody battle over their pet dogs.

However, the stars have come to a temporary arrangement over who will be the pet health care giver to their two dogs, reports 3am.co.uk.

The Chihuahuas, Buster and Coco, will spend a few days with Ashley when he returns to the UK, before going back to Cheryl.

The agreement won't see the two stars come face to face though, a source told 3am.co.uk. Instead, Ashley will send a car to pick them up.

The source revealed: "They want to sort this out as amicably as possible so, to keep the peace, Cheryl is allowing Ashley to spend a few days with them when gets back to the UK."

Ashley Cole is currently facing a fitness fight to be ready for England's World Cup campaign this summer. The Chelsea defender fractured his ankle in a match against Everton, in February.
