Interesting and Strange Pet Items

As a regular writer of blogs for Animal Friends Pet Insurance I am always on the lookout for interesting pet stories or pet items. Below you will find some of the interesting things I have found over time. Some are ingenious and some are just funny and amusing.

In the summertime when it is very hot your dog may be suffering from the heat. Dogs can t sweat like humans to cool off their bodies. Now you can buy a dog cooling vest that absorbs your dog s excess body heat. It is suppose to allow a dog to be able to play or work harder in extreme temperatures.

The Dog Vest doesn t use gel packs or ice packs. The manufacturer of this product refers to the substance as a phase changing substance. This substance freezes at 50 F instead of 32 F, which means the vest can be reused quicker. The Dog Vest is only available in a large size and retails for around $75.

This next item made me laugh while I was reading about it. Flat-D Innovations is a company that has designed a thong for dogs. This thong is designed to make farts smell better. It is called the Dogone and is an activated charcoal cloth the traps the foul smelling odors. The company states that the dog thong is a comfortable and least intrusive means for deodorizing gassy discharges. The Dogone is available in three sizes and are $19.99.

Some other interesting products I have came across include a catnip cigar, a dog toilet bowl water dispenser and mittens made of cat fur. You can get your feline friend a cat collar that glows when the cat purrs and flashes when the cat is outside at night. How about a treat launcher? It is a reloadable treat gun the launches snacks for your pet to chase.

These are just a few of the interesting pet products that are available today. Just about anything you can imagine to pamper your pet is available for you to purchase. If your looking to find out more about dog insurance then visit our site.
