The Chausie cat is a hybrid breed that was created by cross breeding domestic and wild jungle cats. This cat's hind legs are slightly longer than the front ones and their feet are small compared to their overall size. Their coat is that of a jungle cat and can be a black grizzled tabby, brown tick tabby or solid black in colour. A baby Chausie kitten may have spots or stripes that fade away as they mature.

They have a lot of energy and are always on the move. They require lots of exercise and can run very fast. They are athletic and intelligent animals and can jump almost six feet in the air. They like to play with toys and they also like to take and hoard small objects. The Chausie is good with older children and pets that are about their size if they are socialised properly.
