Robert Pattinson 'emotionally connected to dog'

Those with dog insurance might sympathise with Robert Pattinson, who recently said he has an emotional connection to his pooch.

Pattinson is known globally as the heartthrob star of Twilight, New Moon and the forthcoming Eclipse - films based on Stephanie Meyer's series of vampire-themed books.

However, despite being romantically linked by the press to his co-star Kristin Stewart, the 23-year-old thinks his only real bond is with his West Highland white terrier.

"My relationship with my dog, it's ridiculous," Pattinson admitted to Details.

However, he is not the only famous face to discuss his pet dog recently.

Singer Carrie Underwood said how pleased she was to have gone through the adoption process and become the owner of four-year-old pup Ace.

"He's just so special because he loves me for no reason other than I love him back," PeoplePets.com reported her as telling Pedigree, for which she was shooting a new public service announcement.
