Shelter dog reunited with owners

A pet dog has been reunited with its original owners.

The pet, named Haley, was put up for dog adoption three years ago, reports blog ohmidog.

After a family crisis, its owners had taken Hayley to the Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County, but their daughter, in particular, continued missing and talking about their one-time pet.

Recently, the family felt it was time to replace the dog-shaped hole in their lives and went to the shelter to get a new pet. They couldn't believe it when they came face to face with Hayley again.

The shelter told the Washington-based family that Hayley had been adopted in the meantime but just kept running away and was eventually returned to the shelter just a few days before.

Recently a five-year-old Jack Russell, named Twiggy, returned home after going missing for six days. Twiggy ran away after being attacked by another dog during a walk on Shirley Hills, Croydon.
