Hollywood actress Sandra Bullock and her husband Jesse James have stepped up their efforts to find their missing pet dog.

The A-list couple have revealed that their nine-month old dog, Cinnabun, went missing from their California home at the start of last week.

Despite having originally offered a $2,000 for his safe return and posting updates on Twitter and Facebook, they have had no luck in locating their pet.

It has now been reported that, not only have Bullock and James stepped up their cash reward to $5,000, but they have also brought in the help of the pet detective agency Find Tito in a bid to be reunited with the pitbull.

And, according to the celebrity gossip website, even getting her first-ever Oscar nomination has not cheered the actress up, with sources saying she would trade in an Academy Award for getting her dog back.

Last autumn, Jessica's Simpson's dog, which she was given by ex-husband Nick Lachey, was snatched by a coyote in the outskirts of Los Angeles.

Animal Friends are a specialist pet insurance company providing dog insurance and cat insurance to British pet owners since 1999 and we now offer horse insurance too.
