Kitten with two legs 'thriving'

Many pet insurance customers might have heard heart-warming stories about animals learning to survive life on just three legs - but two might seem like a tall order.
However, according to WHBF, this is exactly what pet health care experts in the Monmouth area are focusing on.
Trace the kitten lives in the Monmouth Small Animal Hospital and has the use of only two of her main limbs, after doctors believe the others were trapped inside a car engine for a prolonged period of time.
"[They] didn't have any blood flow to them. The bones were broken in the legs," Dr Geoffrey Weech said.
Now the kitten is learning to live with it.
Most pets can adapt to life on three legs but it may take some work from their owners to help them do so, with specialised mechanisms and devices in the home, which is something a veterinary professional can help with.
