Cat 'deliberately' pushed into fight dies

The owner of a cat killed by two dogs after she was pushed from a wall into the fray has spoken out about her grief.

In an interview with the Kincardineshire Observer, Sara Giles said the death of 12-year-old Jazz has left her family devastated.

The incident which claimed the moggy's life took place in late October, when a passerby witnessed a hand pushing the animal off a wall where she had been hiding from two aggressive pooches straight into their path.

The dogs then killed Jazz and ran off.

"We have had her since she was a kitten and she was part of the family. I cannot believe that someone would do such a cruel thing to an innocent animal," Ms Giles said.

The RSPCA are apparently investigating the incident.

The charity is also endeavouring to raise money for the pet health care of Puss, a silver tabby found with leg injuries after a hit and run.
