Newborn puppy dies 'after being dumped'

A newborn puppy has died after being abandoned with three others in Buckinghamshire, those with pet dogs may be horrified to hear.
The Bucks Free Press reports that the pooch - thought to be less than a week old - succumbed to the conditions he was dumped in, although he did not pass away until later in the arms of a vet.
It is hoped that the three other pups abandoned with him will make a full recovery.
Pet health care expert RSPCA chief inspector Rob Skinner told the newspaper that it was a "terrible" act of cruelty to abandon the puppies and cause one's death.
"It could possibly have been saved if they had gone to the RSPCA or a vet rather than dumping them on a doorstep on a freezing cold night," he added.
Meanwhile, a kitten has been found inside an abandoned suitcase, the Nottingham Evening Post reports.
The white and tabby female was discovered by a member of the public when she went to put out her rubbish and noticed the luggage.
