“As your records will show, your company has settled this claim upto the per event/per annum limit (less deductible), however I thought I would send you a quick message to provide an update on Harvey's condition.
After the MRI scan and various blood tests it was found that Harvey has been suffering from hypothyroidism which is now under control with tablets (this has been monitored over the past few months so as to ensure the correct dosage is prescribed and will continue to be monitored). I am pleased to advise that Harvey has his mad 'boxerism' back and although of course we would prefer for him not to have this condition (with the need for ongoing tablets) it is for sure the more favourable conclusion over a number of the more severe possible diagnosis.
Anyway, I have been extremely pleased with the manner in which your company has handled this claims, so thank you for this.

“I am writing to do something which is unfortunately too rare in the world we live in, that is to give praise where praise is due. What we see is that people are often very quick to criticise poor service but less keen to take the time to say 'thank you' to those who over perform.
The reason for my desire to contact you is that in the short time we (or should I say Harvey, our Boxer) have been insured via your company we have unfortunately found ourselves in the position where we have had to make two claims. In both cases not only have I found the manner in which the claim has been generally handled to be exceptional but more importantly the claim handler, namely Jenna Lawler, has provided an excellent customer service, responded to my questions very quickly and basically been a pleasure to communicate with. I am keen that this level of service is recognised as it has already resulted in me recommending your company to a number of people I know.

After my cat came home with a broken leg I was obviously extremely panicked by the whole incident and the associated cost. All the customer service staff I spoke to were wonderful, kind and helpful and the claim was resolved within 5 working days as had been promised, despite my concerns that there would be delyas as pre-approval was not possible.
I cant explain how much your service is appreciated and I hope that this feedback can be passed to the ladies that I spoke to to thank them for putting up with me during a time I am surprised I was making any sense!

"I feel I need to write here for all to see how good a company you guys really are :-)
Early last year (2011) I had two perfectly healthy German Shepards and I was paying my previous insurance company approx £24 each per month to insure them but when the renewal came through they wanted to nearly double the premium!
Hence I looked about for a better price and found Animal Friends whom was very helpful and insured my dogs for approx £13 each per month for much the same cover. Thats over a 40% saving on what I was paying without the hike in price the previous company wanted on renewal.
Anyway come October my boy had a bit of a temperture for 4 days but still bouncing about as normal, but a visit to the vet was required as you could see something wasn't right and was told it was a virus antibiotics and injection later we left but next day he was worse so ended up back and forth to the vets on many occasions over the next 10 days with him going downhill fast when all other avenues had been taken blood tests etc etc a scan was deemed needed and it was discover he had a huge tumour that was inoperable and we had to have him put down which as you may expect wasn't easy.
But in all it ended up in approximatly a £2,000 vets bill which Animal Friends paid without any hassle whatsoever even though only with them for about 9 months. Then on top of that paid out his death insurance and cancelled all premiums from the date of his death NOT like most would do and carry on collecting until the end of the policy year.
I will always be using Animal Friends for my Pets Keep up the good work Guys

This affected her muscles and she became very weak on the back legs. There was no more the vets could do and sadly the decision of euthanasia had to be taken.

We now have a new rescue dog, Barley. An Irish Terrier brought over by Many Tears from a pound in Eire. She too is a darling and very cute. A bit shy on the lead but we're working on that.

my labrador jason had a tumour in his back passage stemming from his anal gland,very worrying time as hes 8 and half yrs old.
my claim was paid very quickly and the vet said your form for him to complete was not long winded like some hes had.

at Doncaster with elbow/shouder problems.
Xrays had previously not given any indication to the problem and a CAT scan was advised.
Unfortunately the results have shown Alfies condition to be terminal.
We can now only make sure he is pain free for whatever short time is left befor deciding on the Quality of life.
I would like to express my thanks to Animal Friends for the exellent responce to my claim at this difficult time. Truly a feel good insurance. Alfie would be 6 on the 1st of April.
