Iona Macdonald Donates to Southern Counties German Shepherd Rescue
Here at Animal Friends we employ a system whereby the managers from our range of departments come together to decide who has been employee of the month. That person then gets £3,000 to donate to an animal welfare charity of their choosing.
It gives us great pleasure to announce that our employee of the month for November was Iona Macdonald from our Claims department. Iona was recently promoted to admin team leader and she has taken to the role with exceptional drive and enthusiasm. Iona has also implemented initiatives and ideas that have helped both the admin team and the Claims department as a whole. This has put the department in a very strong position and Iona’s commitment and dedication to her new role has shone through.
Iona has decided to donate her £3,000 to the Southern Counties German Shepherd Rescue, a charity that provides care and shelter for stray, neglected or unwanted German Shepherd dogs by rescuing and rehoming them. They operate a no-kill policy believing that a kind and loving home exists for every dog whatever their temperament or disability. The charity is run entirely by volunteers who help to run the shelter in their spare time around their normal ‘day-jobs’ and it relies solely on financial donations from supporters and the general public.
Southern Counties German Shepherd Rescue carry out excellent work in helping these poor dogs and we here at Animal Friends are extremely happy that Iona decided that they would be receiving the £3,000 donation. Iona has stated that “it really is going to a great cause and I hope that the donation will aid them in all the great work they do” and we couldn’t agree more.
